Next Episode Question: Obviously, this is an Achievements podcast, and we know you are interested in achievements, but we would like to know why you are an Achievement Chaser. What about getting those achievements gets you motivated? Is it numbers? Lore? Something else?

Main Zone: Silverpine Forest

Coming from Tirisfal Glades, you're greeted by Sylvanas and Warchief Garrosh.

From a current lore perspective, Silverpine Forest is like going back in a time machine, so you have to just roll with it. It tells the story of the Forsaken and the Worgen when it happened in the timeline. It may seem dated from our current perspective, but it is full of lore.

Lore: The quest Cities in the Dust (which is most likely a reference to a Siouxie and the Banshees song) is chock full of lore. The battle between Gilneas and the Forsaken is over. Lord Crowely and his Worgen have lost. Crowley insists it isn’t over yet, but Sylvanas shifts the conversation when she asks about Crowley’s daughter, Lorna. Crowley demands to know what Sylvanas has done with his daughter. Sylvanas states that she will trade Lorna for an unconditional surrender. Crowley agrees, despite the grumbling of his forces. The three former Gilnean l3ords, now Forsaken, bring Lorna to Crowley. After Lorna is safely in her father’s arms, Lord Godfrey shoots Sylvanas in the back, killing her. Sylvana’s three Val’kyr agree that it is their duty to bring her back to life; in doing so, they lose their own lives.

Dungeon: Shadowfang Keep

Achievements

Pardon Denied - Defeat Baron Ashbury without letting him heal with Stay of Execution in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.

At max level this is just nukeable. At level Make sure you interrupt Baron Ashbury when he performs ‘Stay of Execution’

To The Ground - Defeat Commander Springvale without allowing him to receive Unholy Empowerment in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.

This achievement is named after a Ghostcrawler line who said that Ret Pallys were going to be nerfed ‘to the ground, baby!” The basic idea is to keep Commander Springvale from being buffed. Once he gets 3 stacks of Unholy power he will get Unholy Empowerment. To prevent this you either need to nuke the boss or burn the adds down in less than 10 seconds. This can be challenging at level but at max level it’s cake.

Bullet Time - Defeat 12 Bloodthirsty Ghouls with Pistol Barrage and then defeat Lord Godfrey in Shadowfang Keep.

Keep the boss on the bottom level and keep the adds between you and the boss. At max level pull him but don’t damage him. Once 12 Bloodthirst Ghouls are dead, kill the boss and get the achievement.

Shadowfang Keep - Defeat Lord Godfrey.

Heroic: Shadowfang Keep - Defeat Lord Godfrey on Heroic Difficulty.

No Time to Heal achievement - which you need to win 5 consecutive Pvp pet battles without letting a pet die.

The achievement Mechanical Brawler - Win 10 PvP pet battles through Find Battles with a full team of level 25 Mechanical Pets

During the event all pet battles will award 200% XP so make sure that you’re taking advantage of the pet battles in WoD to level your pets as quickly as possible. Mud included a few pet battle teams for Rematch that work pretty well in episode 3 so work on getting those pets leveled up this week.

PvP Brawl: Classic Ashran

A great time to work on your Wrynn’s Vanguard reputation for Alliance or Vol’Jin’s Spear rep

Darkmoon Faire

2021/04/04 - 2021/04/10

I’m going to hold off on adding any achievements this episode. The majority we have left are race achievements. But since this event overlaps with the Battle Pet Bonus event for a few days use the following teams for Jeremy Feasel and Christoph VonFeasel.

Jeremy Feasel - You’ll need to have a level 25 Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and Molten Corgi. The Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling can be obtained from an engineer with that recipe or from the Auction House, and the Molten Corgi was an anniversary reward. If you don’t have it there are some other strategies available on www.wow-petguide.com and if you sign in it’ll tailor the teams if makes to your collection

Jeremy Feasel:21PA:1220QC:22101DB:ZL:N:Strategy added by Dark#1211\nStrategy from Incandio via Wowhead. I now prefer this strategy over the MPD+Tonk strategy that I used for years. There is one possible stun RNG when swapping to Molten Corgi, but it doesn't make you lose the fight. It's even possible to defeat Fezwick before MPD even dies.\n\nTurn 1: Decoy\nTurn 2: Thunderbolt\nTurn 3: Breath until Judgment dies.\nHonky-Tonk comes in\nTurn 4: Swap to your Molten Corgi\nTurn 5-7: Puppies of the Flame\nTurn 8: Flamethrower\nTurn 9+: Cauterize if you take a hit from the laser, else Flamethrower until Honky-Tonk dies.\nFezwick comes in\nTurn 10: Swap to your Level Pet\nTurn 11: Swap to your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling\nTurn 12: Decoy\nTurn 13: Thunderbolt\nTurn 14: Breath until Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling dies.\nTurn 15: Swap to your Molten Corgi\nPrio 1: Puppies of the Flame\nPrio 2: Flamethrower\n

Christoph VonFeasel - You’ll need to have level 25 Enchanted Broom and Iron Starlet. You can get the enchanted broom from the Argent Tournament in Northrend if you’re horde from the Silvermoon Quartermaster. You can get the Iron Starlette as a quest reward from the WoD invasion which can still be done now.

Christoph VonFeasel:2JGF:22206L:ZL:12101BB:N:Strategy added by psofia\nUPDATE: This strategy by Rikade on Wowhead still works as of the Shadowlands pre-patch. As stated in the comments below if you have a P/S, P/P, P/B Starlette AND you get critted by Otto, you will die and have to start over. It doesn't happen very often from my experience with a P/B Starlette.\n\nTurn 1: Sweep\nOtto comes in\nTurn 2: Wind-Up [Just once, you will need it later]\nSwap to your Iron Starlette\nTurn 1: Wind-Up\nTurn 2: Supercharge\nTurn 3: Wind-Up - Otto dies\nSyd comes in\nTurn 1-3: Toxic Smoke x3 to remove Syd's bubble - Iron Starlette dies \nSwap to your Level Pet\nSwap to your Enchanted Broom\nTurn 1: Sweep\nMr. Pointy comes in\nTurn 1: Wind-Up\nTurn 2: Wind-Up\nTurn 3: Wind-Up - Mr. Pointy dies\nSyd comes in\nTurn 1-2: Batter x2 - Syd dies\n

If you don’t have the ability to get these pets there are alternative strategies on wow-petguide.com - https://www.wow-petguide.com/Section/7/The_Darkmoon_Faire
