If there's one thing I've learned about being a mom over the past four years it's that making new mom friends can be super uncomfortable.

It's that weird feeling of being back in middle school and trying to find someone to sit with at lunch. And NOBODY wants to sit alone!

You look around and you see a couple of girls sitting at a table and you hesitantly walk over to them to ask to sit down.

It's vulnerable to put yourself out there, not knowing what kind of response you'll get back.

"Will they like me?"

"Will they think I'm a complete loser, roll their eyes, and leave?"

But having a community of friends who support you as a mom is SO important.

Sometimes you need that outside voice to let you know you aren't crazy for crying because your toddler smeared poop all over the bathroom. (We've all been there!)

Connecting in person can be challenging under normal circumstances for moms (schedules, naps, getting out the door in under an hour. etc).

And now with social distancing measures in place, it's pretty much impossible to connect with another mom in person.

SO...we go to the next best place - ONLINE!

Virtual community is different from in-person community, but it IS community.

My guest today is Haili Murch, a mom of two, podcast manager, and manager of an online mom community.

Along with her THIS is Legit Motherhood podcast, she started The Legit Motherhood Community Facebook Group, which is a place for moms to interact and support one another in their motherhood journey.

We talk about:
