You are not fat! Stop saying you are fat. You have fat. You have fingernails. That doesn't make you a fingernail. You have toes. That doesn't make you a toe.


Calling someone FAT is a negative, derogatory term used to demean people. I know, I have had a lot of fat. I used to tell myself I was fat.



On our Show Notes Page - goal getting podcast dot com / qod191  I have a picture of me from 2006, 10 years ago. I had a lot of fat on me.


 


This was me in 2006. I had ballooned up to 296 pounds. Now, if I was 6' 5" that wouldn't be too bad. But, I am only 5' 6", so that is not so good.


Our subconscious mind is not always our friend. Our own mind can be our worst enemy and we have to stop it from demeaning ourselves.


Would you allow someone else to call you names? Would you stand for a co-worker, family member or a stranger call you names. I would hope not.


We do not have to put up with other people putting us down, you do not have to put up with your own self putting you down.


It is important that we start talking to ourselves properly. Self-talk is key to how we think about ourselves.


In Episode 35 of Goal Getting Podcast I talked about how our subconscious mind is developed and how our belief systems are created. If we have had negative belief systems


programmed in our subconscious mind, we continue to perpetuate that negativity by talking bad about ourselves to ourselves.  We don't realize how bad this is for us. Although our


subconscious mind is created when we are young, we have the ability to affect that by negative self-talk. We are often in hyper-suggestible states without realizing it and these states


open our subconscious mind for more programming. If we constantly talk bad about ourselves, we are confirming those negative belief systems in our subconscious mind and


adding even more.


What you need to do is start talking positiveness to ourselves. Instead of the negative comments, let's start pushing positive thoughts into our subconscious.


If you have been saying something negative about yourself let's turn it around. How do you do that?


If you've been saying to yourself. "I hate myself, because I am fat." Let's change that message you've been sending.


When you wake up in the morning.

Get Up - Get out of bed with a smile on your face.
Look Up - Look up to the ceiling and smile.
Think Up - Think of a positive thought that makes you feel happy and excited.
State Up - State a positive thought in your mind. Something like this: "I enjoy improving my health and do what I need every day."

After you start your day, and you start feeling the need to start talking bad about yourself, take a couple minutes and perform the Four Ups.


It is hard to fight the negative thoughts at times. The key is to get into a habit of replacing the negative thinking and self-talk to positive feelings and thoughts.


The next step is to follow the Mental Bank Program I described in Episodes 34 & 35 of Goal Getting Podcast.


Using the Mental Bank Method you will use the Magic 30 minutes at the end of the day to program your mind with positive beliefs, replacing the negative thoughts.


I use this strategy to help me get out of the bed at 4 in the morning to go work out at the gym and to change my mental script to want to do what I need to think and act healthy.


I use this strategy to help me think positively about myself and change the Stinkin' Thinkin' that I used to have.
