I do find this quote funny and interesting coming from the guy that invented the Atari. I remember playing the Atari 2600 after work one day and realized at 3 a.m. that I had been sitting on my butt playing a video game for 8 hours. That being said, when I realized it, I put away my Atari and now rarely play video games. But it has become a multi-billion dollar industry and I didn't do anything about it then and I understand what Nolan Bushnell says here.
Entrepreneurs start as dreamers. They all have an idea, but the thing that separates them from everyone else is exactly what Nolan Bushnell says, they decided to do something about their ideas now. Not tomorrow, not next week, but today.
Have you ever had a great idea and you sit on it and the next thing you know you see your great idea on the store shelves or on TV. The difference between them and you is they didn't sit on it. They got off their butt and did something with the idea. They didn't stop at being he dreamer. They became the doer.
It's as simple as that!
