You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy or any of your time, or any of your space.

~~ Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash was one of the top Country & Western singers. His legendary style, "The Man In Black", the protector of the simple man, wasn't always a success. He lived through a lot of adversity, through a lot of failures.

The key he says, is to build on the failure. Use it as a stepping stone. Failures are not the end of life. It is just a momentary learning experience. The best thing to do it let it go.

As Johnny said, you don't want to dwell on the past or the mistakes. If you had failures or mistakes, they teach you what not to do the next time. These are the chances to learn. You shouldn't let the failure or mistakes consume you, but you should learn from them.
