Live Global Women Podcast Editor Panel (April 20, 2021)

Every Tuesday in April we are focusing on Women Podcast Editors: women who podcast edit, either for their own projects, for clients or both. 
We enjoy podcast editing and want to inspire other women to edit podcasts.

On Tuesday, April 20th we had our 3nd Global Women Podcast Editor Panel for Geopats Podcasting. This podcast is not usually focused exclusively on podcast editing but sure as heck is this month! Click on the above image to watch the full live video.

It's funny because these panels were arranged partially by what the Editors said was their passion in podcast editing AND partially by timezone. So I had a feeling that this group would get DAW geeky and we so did. Ann and Shannon work on audio fiction shows with many characters, tracks and sound effects. Let's just say that screensharing was done and done well. Canan and I both have interview podcasts and shared our experiences with shaping a conversation with its own narrative arc. We all shared our tips for podcast efficiency, mentorship and more. ​
What I love about these panels is that even though there is often a side range of experience among the 4 of us in each group, there is never a sense of anyone being greater than or lesser than. So it made me smile when this thought was brought up explicitly before we went live and thus discussed during the recording as well.
In short, there is a lot of room in podcast editing to find and develop your own strengths we never have to feel like we aren't good enough to do this. 
We can ALL do this!
