The past two days we've been hearing from Summer Rylander of eat something go somewhere food blog about the book 'Global Soul' by Pico Iyer. There has been a lot of talk about place, home and location and this got me to thinking about an interview I did with a woman named Ting when I lived in Shanghai, China a few years ago.
Ting, like Pico Iyer, was a TCK with an interesting story and view on things. I interviewed her for what is now the Geopats Online podcast (then it was called Virtual Expats). We talked about how her online habits changed each time her location changed. I relistened to this episode recently and found a clip that bridges us nicely from talking about place to talking about language, which is the next topic we will be covering on Thursday and Friday this week with past guest of Geopats Language podcast, Matthew Boyle.
