The majestic holiness of God begs a question, who can actually ascend the Hill of the Lord and enter His holy place. The answer ought to leave us quivering and hopeless. None of us live up to this Psalm. Yet there is one who has clean hands, a pure heart, and who does not lift up his soul to what is false. This One ascended the Hill of the Lord for us. He was rejected in His life, despised in His death, yet vindicated in His resurrection. And now we can lift our heads and see the King of glory coming in, strong an mighty (I can almost hear Handel’s music flowing in the text). Christ is risen, He is the King of Glory. What a great Easter declaration.
