In this episode Dr. Bob Huish talks with Jessica Cadesky in Vancouver to talk about her experiences as a worker with the Red Cross, and UN agencies working on gender and violence prevention. Jessica's research looks at gender in post-conflict settings, and how humanitarian programs need to be mindful of gender in their scope and approach.
Jessica is a gender and violence prevention specialist with over a decade of experience with the United Nations & The Red Cross. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in International Development Studies at the University of Ottawa. Her research looks at post-conflict aid programming and the impacts of gender equality in Sri Lanka.
