Here we are, episode number one of the Fuze Radio podcast. I wanted tell you a bit about myself, who I am, what I do, and why I am doing this podcast.

My name is Drew Boraas. I've lived in Fargo ND for the past 8 years. A bit of background, Growing up in Saint Paul MN, it all started with my passions of music and dance and with my collection of "NOW That's What I Call Music" CDs (yes, I do continue to collect them). Middle school through High school I was apart of a competition dance company where I learned even more about music and my ear for a great dance beat. As I grew, so did my passion for playing music to a crowd. It progressed to leading the charge as the DJ for many middle school and high school dances throughout the Twin Cities.

In 2009 I moved to North Dakota for college and graduated from University of Jamestown with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation I was fortunate enough to start my nursing career working in the intensive care unit at Sanford in Fargo. Beyond looking to create that perfect beat, I was also exploring different opportunities within the nursing field which led me to explore travel nursing for a year.  After three assignments, a lot of adventures, and meeting my wife I was ready for my next chapter.

And shortly thereafter the DJ business began to grow. I decided to take a leap and go part time at the hospital and pursue the business full time.  And, Fuze Entertainment was born! As with anything you are passionate about it is hard to ever stop doing it. I continue to work part time for Sanford now with their AirMed as a flight nurse. This might sound weird but, I am honored through my works as a nurse to be able to support people on one of the worst days of their life and then as a DJ/MC to be able to support people on one of the happiest days of their life.

As a DJ/MC and business owner I continue to grow and educated myself by learning from every event, being involved with many local wedding vendors, and attending conventions and workshops. Which, DJ and wedding vendor conventions may sound weird but many of the conventions and workshops are in Las Vegas, so I can’t complain.  With Fuze Entertainment I believe working with your DJ should not be weird or awkward. I strive to have my company portray professionalism while also being personable and adaptable. I am here to help you through your wedding planning. Not only can I give you suggestions of great grand entrance songs or fun dance moves to use in your first dance. But also to answer any non-DJ questions you might have such as, where is a good spot to place my head table? Or, who do you recommend for a photographer?  And, if I can’t answer your question, I’ll find you someone who can.

The reason for this podcast is partly selfish but also educational. I want it to be education for couples as well as vendors. I want my guests to share with you their knowledge, expertise, and their personality. Not only is it helpful to get to know more about the service you are looking for but also learning about the people behind their businesses. On the selfish side, I love networking with vendors and am always looking for an excuse to do so, and here it is.

I hope you guys find these episodes not only helpful but maybe even a little entertaining.
