Dress Code Dilemmas

Panty hose, shined shoes, dresses, skirts and suits, remember when we used to wear them? Oh, my darlin’, things have changed. Jeans are acceptable in a growing number of workplaces and even churches. Dressing to go out to a nice restaurant is quickly becoming a thing of the pass.

Let’s try to make some sense of it … at least at work anyway. What is professional, business professional, business casual and casual. When do you wear which? Does how you dress even matter anymore. According to a lot of high school and college students, it doesn’t matter and many have begun rebelling to the concept of a dress code. Managers have a hard time enforcing them (especially when a male manager has to speak to a female subordinate).

Where can you go when you want to dress formally? Where can’t you wear jeans? What do you do when someone comes to work looking like a hot mess and violating the dress code?
