Fullmetal Forever Episode 43

To kickoff the holiday season, Ambrose tries something new live on recording for our enjoyment. Ambrose and I also watch RE:ZERO episode 6 The Sound of Chains.  We discuss the British perspective of Thanksgiving, Ambrose wanting to like tea, and I learn a few Japanese phrases.  Oh, and apparently curses are different from magic for some reason.  I disagree.  

Fullmetal Forever Episode 42

Something is a miss here at FMF, because we aren't watching anime this week.  We are watching Steven Universe: The Movie.  With this being my introduction to this universe, I have questions for Ambrose, like what is this, what is happening, and huh?  We also discuss how Spinel was used and discarded by Steven and his mom, how scythes are terrible weapons, and the rampant bias in this movie.

Fullmetal Forever Episode 41

We are keeping it rolling with the aftermath of death...5? Let's go with that. This is a very clothing-centered episode, specifically because Roswell is a predator of the worst kind. This week I get paranoid and we (Ambrose and I) discuss what would my dog would do if I died.  We also through out the idea of medication helping out our boy Subaru's anxiety and ADHD. Just a thought.

Fullmetal Forever Episode 40

Ambrose and I continue to unravel the secrets of the nonsense that is the life and death of Subaru with Episode 4 The Happy Roswaal Mansion Family.  This week we also get to enjoy Ambrose's American accent, profound discussions on my use of the American Spirit,  who amongst our characters is a furry, and other creepy things connected to RE:ZERO.  

Fullmetal Forever Episode 39

This week, Ambrose continues to listen to me complain about the insanity that is RE:ZERO with episode 3: Starting Life from Zero in Another World.  She introduces me to gremlin energy and a practical cosplay tip.  I also learn the name of the mysterious assassin who has killed our guy Subaru several times already.  It just makes her more gross.

Fullmetal Forever Episode 38

Season 2 of FMF continues with death number 4 for our "hero", Subaru.  This week, Ambrose and I also contend with adds during out streaming, one involving an Amazon and an egg, Ambrose shares her feelings about voice actors screaming, and I complain just a little less than last season.

Fullmetal Forever Episode 37

We begin Season 2, our pallet cleanser season, with episode 1 (or zero) of RE:ZERO- Starting Life in Another World.  Our format is also shifting, as we are now doing watch alongs, allowing you the listeners to hear what we hear, myself for the first time and for Ambrose a second.  Possibly more.  We also pause and discuss why Frozen is so beloved, our Scottish accents, and why licking your lips makes you evil.  We will also be keeping a death count of our hero, Subaru, who is currently up to...

Fullmetal Forever Episode 35

This is it folks!  The grand finale of our deconstruction of Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood.  The journey has been long, weird, and full of interruptions.  To cap off our coverage we look at episodes 63: Other Side of the Gate and 64: Journey's End. Also, I decide I owe Ambrose a hug, we ask why does Selim have a face nipple, Jodie decides the weather for her family, and Ed and Al’s journey comes to an end with Al inventing baking interest.

In the penultimate episode before the Brotherhood finale, Ambrose, Jodie, and I deconstruct episodes 61: He Who Would (and did) Swallow God and 62: A Fierce Counterattack.  We also discuss Ambrose and Jodie’s snacking habits, I explain the meat sweats, my lack of research, and one of the greatest anime duals of all time, Scar vs Wrath. 

Fullmetal Forever Episode 33

We are nearing the crescendo this week as we discuss episodes 59: Lost Light and 60: Eye of Heaven, Gateway of Earth. Also I experience some personal character growth, we realize Wrath is the ultimate circus performer, and stay tuned after the closing for a little extra regarding our pallet cleansing series.  A little challenge for our listeners; can you tell if something is a bit off in the later portion of the show? WE ARE BACK! Fullmetal Forever: Episode 31

This week is a mixed bag of set-up and pay-off episodes with episodes 55: The Adults Way of Life and 56: Return of the Fuhrer.  There are so many forgettable generals in these episodes.  We also see the truest bro-mance of the series, Greed and Wrath throw down, and Father reveals his evolved Dad-Bod form.

This week, Ambrose and I are joined by our new contributor, Jodie to deconstruct episodes 53: Flame of Vengeance and 54: Beyond the Inferno.  We also ask the questions, where are Olivier's punk stars? What was the deal with that one guy asking about Selim? And we discuss the utter destruction of Envy.

Fullmetal Forever! Episode 29

This week we continue the march to the climax of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, with episodes 51 The Immortal Legion and 52 Combined Strength.  We also discuss pallet cleaners, Ambrose's  injury from breath of the wild, Alphonse fighting at full power, and May pulls her wight for once for my entertainment.

Fullmetal Forever! Episode 28

On this week's episode we take a look at the OVAs of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: and it is a mixed bag.  Also, Ambrose advocates for my dog to get a treat, we discuss Al's repeated traumas (#metalemotions, #altoo), the disproportions of female characters, and not calling yourself an artist.

This week Ambrose and I discuss episodes 49 Filial Affection and 50 Upheaval in Central.  We also discuss a better title for the show, the Hohenheim steroid scandal, and the future merchandise of our show.

In our glorious return episode after our hiatus, Morgan and I do a watch along of the live-action version we reviewed early on in on podcast.  We discuss Alchemic bedding, the homunculi forming a band and Morgan eats Halloween candy.

This week, Ambrose and I deconstruct Episodes 47, Emissary of Darkness and 48, The Oath in the Tunnel. Also this week Al feels violated, we basically do a promo for Nendroids, I learn about Soft greed, Heinkle needs to mind his own business, weird restaurant bathrooms and Hayley nods a lot.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 24

Things are settling in place for the final battle as we approach mid-season 4. This week we look at Episodes 45:The Promised Day and 46: The Looming Shadow. We discuss the Armstrong family possibly being the Amestrian mafia, Greed's own sitcom, British people do the chicken dance, birth of Greed/Ling, and deli cheese. 

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 23

We make our triumphant return from hiatus by decontrsructing episodes 43: Bite of the Ant and 44: Full Throttle. Ambrose and I also discuss the true villainy of hats, how Alkahestry is made up bullshit non-sense, we learn another meaning for the word sham, that there is no such thing as a nice drifter, and that Zampanoooooo, is the greatest actor of his generation.

This week, Jessi and I deconstruct Episodes 41:The Abyss and 42: Signs of a Counter Offensive. Ed continues his quest not to kill in a land where murder is plan A, unlike his 03 counterpart, Scar's brother really pulls his weight, Kimblee works customer service, and we ask the question, is Hohenheim Ling's real father?

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 21

This week Ambrose and I deconstruct the Season 3 Finale, Episode 39 Day Dream and Season 4 opener, Episode 40 Dwarf in the Flask. Marcho tries to be Oprah, we learn Father's ultimate goal involves feet, I am introduced to Bill Cipher of Gravity Falls, and I pass judgement on things that have too many teeth.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 20

This week Ambrose and I deconstruct Episodes 37: The First Homunculus and 39: Conflict at Baschool. We meet the new chimeras, the two realities of anime collide, we meet the little asshole, I learn what star jumps are, and Al becomes a murderer.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 19

This week week, Morgan and I deconstruct Episodes 35: Shape of this Country and 36: Family Portrait. Also, I can't tell if Morgan is being sarcastic, I realize the Gold Toothed Doctor has a connection an infamous serial killer, Scar was able to put a down payment on property, and we delve into the mysteries of white military gloves.

This week Morgan is back to help deconstruct Episodes 33:The Northern Wall of Briggs and 34: Ice Queen. Team Street Rat and the Elrics head North, we debate the character of Kimblee, I dismiss Captain Buccaneer as a meathead, and we remember the sad fate of NBC'S Heroes.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 17

This week we welcome back Morgan! We deconstruct Episodes 31 The 520 Cens Promise and 32 The Führer's Son. We also discuss good filler episodes, how writing in blood is stupid, how Brotherhood is really Dr. Knox's story, our FMA cosplay, and how May does not care about genocide. Fun stuff!

This week we welcome a new guest, Christopher Minney, and we discuss Episodes 27, Interlude Party, a mess of a clip show, and 28, Father. There are spoilers for Infinity War. We discuss nihilism, the Jesus figures of the show, blood balloon people, how much sin Father still has, and the May Chang Hate Train picks up speed.

This week, on what I'm calling the "Back in Hell" edition of FMF, I'm once again joined by Ambrose to discuss the finale episodes of Season 2 of FMA:B, 25: Doorway of Darkness and 26: Reunion. I learn about Koma Theater and the word "chav", and we discuss King Bradley's past and Windry's future drinking problem.

This week I wonder, is Roy is Batman? There is a small Infinity War Spoiler. We are introduced to Hohenhiem, who I am not fond of. Also, I consider whether Al could be a transformer and Ed grows as a person.

This week I deconstruct Episodes 17 "Cold Flame" and 18 "Arrogant Palm of a Small Human." I determine which fingers work best for snapping, the layers of Travis Willingham's performance as Roy Mustang, and I learn the origins of halos.

This week I discuss how tired I am of Rush Valley, how I fight dirty, how ninjas travel on trains ,the FMA honey pot, and whether or not Ling is all-knowing like Lust.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 8

This week we begin Season 2 of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood with Episode 14 :Those Who Lurk Underground, and boy do they lurk. We also put a bow on Season 1 by fan-casting all the major characters that are introduced. Jeff Goldblum's name gets tossed around a bit to be sure.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 7

This week we reach the end of Season 1 of Fulmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood with Episode 12, "One is All" and Episode 13 "Beasts of Dublith." We learn that the Curtis's are a couple of softies, while Roy makes some moves. Also, we suffer some technical difficulty.

Fullmetal Forever: Episode 6

This week we deconstruct episodes 9: “Created Feelings”, 10: “Separate Destinations” and the bullshit that is 11: “Miracle at Rush Valley.” We also learn how Morgan treated people she liked in high school, we realize that Hughes is kind of a dirt bag, and apparently Al can feel things with his armor.
