Let's be honest: A JavaScript MPEG1 decoder sounds like a rather silly idea, but there are real world use cases where jsmpeg shines. In this talk I want to show some of the things that you can do with jsmpeg that you can't do with the HTML5 Element. I will also talk about how WebGL was used to speed up the decoding and discuss other tricks that improved performance.
