Leif is a botanist and author. He first book is called ‘the orchid hunter’ and his new book ‘where the wildflowers grow’ will be released this summer. In case you thought that writing a book wasn't enough of an achievement he has also just finished a PhD at Kew Gardens.

This was an absolutely fascinating episode about how incredibly intelligent and adaptive plants are, so much so that Aisling and Gemma have decided it might be worth giving up a career in meteorology to go and study the secret life of plants!

There are so many great moments in this episode and we urge you to sit back, grab a cuppa and prepare to be amazed about what you didn't know about plants.
