Hello, Im Craig and welcome to another episode of Football Kit Memories - the football podcast that gets under the shirt

In today’s episode I am joined by Author, and Podcaster Edward Patrick Akinyemi.

During our chat, I find out about Edward’s work away from football before we delve into his writing and work Black, White & Read All Over, an English speaking Juventus blog and podcast based in the United States.

Edward is also a published author and I find out about his book You say soccer I say football - an exploration of the way the game mirrors and indeed becomes entwined with our wider society - covering a wide range of topics including racism, financial inequality, hooliganism and more...etc.

Later and as always I asked Edward to pick out three of his favourite football shirts and tell me a little bit more about what they mean to him. We visited Montevideo for the first World Cup won by host nation Uruguay, then crossed The Atlantic to visit Turin and a recent Juventus shirt with sentimental value before finally finishing in the Dutch lower leagues with Racing Club Liederdorp.

Remember, you can listen to this and other episodes of Football Kit Memories on all major audio platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
