This week Sara and I are in for our take on an amazing appetizer to wrap up your holiday season. This week we make a delicious Picadillo Empanada inspired by Gina Himolka’s Skinnytaste.com website. It’s buttery, salty, briney, meaty and oh so satisfying. We spend some time discussing Mean Girls and busses. We talk about Tips for Your New InstantPot, Pedialyte helps with hangovers, and How Millennials are potentially helping to rebalance the food world. We take a buzzfeed quiz where you Eat At Panera All Day In 7 Steps And We'll Tell You What People Like Most About You. Lastly we answer questions about holiday leftovers and new years traditions. Picadillo Ingredients

1 Jar of Goya Sofrito 1 Tbsp of Raisins 1 ½ lb 93% lean ground beef 4 oz can tomato sauce kosher salt fresh ground pepper 1 tsp ground cumin 1-2 bay leaf 2 tbsp Green Olives, chopped

Optional Extras:

½ Small Can of Hominy (Typically Goya) 3 hard boiled eggs chopped up 1 Small chipotle peppers in sauce Sour Cream for dipping Shredded Cheddar (kids like this)

Empanada Ingredients

1 Package of Frozen Empanadas (10) Oil for Frying (ignore if using air fryer)
