When you think of the idea of being predestined, do you consider that makes us robots? Hey, I'm Mike Henry Sr. with Follower of One. Thanks for joining me again today on the Follower of One Podcast. As we continue to enjoy God, let's read verses 15 and 16 from Psalm 139.

"My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began."

That's from the Christian Standard Bible. I mentioned predestination or predetermination. I have not prepared to talk in great detail about this. But this very clearly states that God thought of us. We're God's idea and not just mankind, but each of us individually. The Psalmist is very specific here. And either the Bible is wrong or we learn about God in this passage. If God knew us before we were born, before we even became to be, if our days were written in his book and planned before a single one of them began, that makes God very powerful. He knows all of this. And yet he still carved out this space where we're free to choose. Today you and I can choose to follow him or not. We can choose to listen to his Holy Spirit and do things for other people so that Jesus might become visible. Or not.

We have an opportunity to take part in this grand, rescue that's taking place in our globe. God is saving a people for himself and the people who are alive today are potential prospects in that salvation. We have the opportunity to live as if we're saved because we are; because we have the holy spirit living in us. And then we get to take part in this temporal life with all these other friends and we can help them see Jesus too.

This is a big responsibility when we consider that all of our days were written in God's book and planned before a single one of them began. It doesn't take us out of the game. It makes us pay attention to our original orders, our original papers.

What were you created to do? We were created to know God and love him. We were also created to be a husband or a wife or a father or a son or daughter. We were created to be in a family and in a community and to make a difference. You were ordained into your present job, into your present situation. And you can choose today to take that role and do something with it. We've been given this opportunity that God of the universe handcrafted us each for our present situation.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." Read the context, check out that passage. Our present situation is God's will for us in Christ, Jesus. How powerful is that?

We get to take part in whatever God has for us, from right where we are today. We don't have to get somewhere else or be somewhere else. The next person that you see is someone that God would love for you to minister to, someone that you can pray for.

The next person that you see is someone that you can bless because God created them too. This is our opportunity as Christ followers. We get this chance to take part in this grand rescue of a lost people. Thank you for being a marketplace minister. Thank you for considering how your life fits into God's overall plan.

One way you can do that is by punching in. Just tell God, "Okay, God, here I am. What would you have me do next?" And God will put you to work in his kingdom.

Thanks for being a marketplace minister. Also take a minute and check out our online community. Join another group of people who are trying to live this on a daily basis. Go to https://community.followerofone.org and check it out. Thanks very much.
