Have you ever said or done just the right thing at the right time? Maybe that wasn't an accident.

Hi, I'm Mike Henry Sr. With Follower of One. Thanks for joining me for the Follower of One Podcast again today. We're reading from 1 Corinthians chapter two, I'm reading verses 11 and 12 today from the English Standard Version.

"For who knows a person's thoughts except for the spirit of that person, which is in him. So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God, except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might understand the things freely given us by God."

The point that Paul I believe is making in this passage, is that we can understand God's thoughts because we have the Holy Spirit living in us. The Holy Spirit gives us direction and it gives us insight into the thoughts of God so that we might understand the things that God imparts to us, these ideas that he gives us and these considerations and thoughts and the knowledge that he gives us.

We can use this knowledge to make a difference in the lives of the people that we work with. Paul even reminds us a little further down in verse 16, that we have the mind of Christ. We've been given this spiritual understanding so that we might be God's servants in the world. A minister is nothing but a servant.

Paul is pointing out that we have the Spirit of God living in us and he equips us so that we might serve other people; so that Jesus might become visible. That's how our faith works. We're called to pray for, to love and to serve the people that we interact with every day. Take a look. Who are you around?

Who will you interact with today? Think through your schedule and ask God to show you his mind and his spirit so that you can do what he wants in those people's lives today. You're the person, you're the person on the ground, assigned to this role. It's your opportunity to walk in the calling of God and to make a difference in the lives of others.

We have the opportunity today to be a difference-maker in the lives of other people because we are connected to or plugged into God. We have the Holy Spirit living in us who can give us direction and help us understand the things freely given us by God.

God is a worker and He will call you to do things. Often, he calls you to work. He calls you to make a difference in the lives of someone else. Today, I want to challenge us to think through our schedule. Who would God have us serve? What can we do today to bless someone else simply because we follow Jesus Christ. That's our calling.

"We have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might understand the things freely given us by God."

You've been given a job today. And if you want to step into that job, I believe you will experience tremendous joy knowing that God gave you the job, he gave you the understanding, and he gave you the opportunity.

Thanks so much for being a marketplace minister. Thank you for stepping into the calling that God has for you today.

I pray that you are blessed today as you hear this podcast and as you put it to work. I pray that you are excited and energized at the opportunity that you have to glorify God in the world, in the lives of the people that you interact with today. Thanks for being a marketplace minister.
