About 80 per cent of Smartphone users check theirs within 15 minutes of waking up every morning – please don’t be part of that statistic. How are your stress levels?
I recently read an article with psychiatrist Dr Nikole Benders-Hadi where she said “immediately turning to your phone when you wake up can start your day off in a way that is more likely to increase stress and leave you feeling overwhelmed.”
Similarly, author Julie Morgenstern, in her book “Never Check Email In The Morning”, agrees. About checking emails first thing in the morning she says “You’ll never recover.” And “There is very little that cannot wait a minimum of 59 minutes.” It’s important to take control of your morning – because it sets the tone for how the rest of your day will go.
