This week we chat with Brooke Weigel, a marine ecologist studying the symbiotic relationship between microscopic microbes and canopy-forming kelp. Weigel aims to understand how these microbes impact kelp growth and nutrient acquisition.  Her research focuses on the productivity and nutrient cycling within kelp forest ecosystems. Today we cover all kelp everything!
