Body Dysmorphic Disorder affects 1.7% to 2.9% of the general population — about 1 in 50 people. This means that more than 5 million people to nearly 10 million people in the United States alone have BDD.  It’s possible that BDD may be even more common than this because people with this disorder are often reluctant to reveal their BDD symptoms to others. Today, Dave and Ryan share our thoughts regarding watching for signs in your children and yourself. Pounding beers and wings can be fun, but is there a possibility of going overboard?

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), with appropriations from Congress, added a new NATIONAL 988 HOTLINE. Think 911 for mental health services.

This landmark appropriation makes it easier to talk (or text) with trained crisis counselors for mental health, suicide, and substance abuse. This also helps veterans connect directly with the veteran's crisis line through text and call.

*For veterans using the 988 hotline to reach the crisis line. Press 1 if calling to be connected, or if by text, use shortcode 838255.
