Dr. Kira Kai

Kira Kai is a Naturopathic doctor that has been practicing in the south Surrey area since 2012.  She is passionate about her patients and feels extremely blessed to have found this calling in life.  The journey to arrive at this point was not straightforward, but the experiences that she had encountered in life allowed her to relate more effectively and genuinely with her patients.  

When she was three years old, she followed her father around as he taught both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine classes to doctors in thier hometown in China.  He was a medical doctor (M.D.) trained in both Internal Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, and was the director of the only hospital in their city.  On many Sundays,sheI sat on a homemade bicycle seat for two hour long rides as her father cycled to rural areas.  Watching him and his acupuncture needles heal with great passion is a profound experience that she will never forget.  More than 30 years later, she is now the healer with the same passion for medicine and for helping people as her father did.   Today, she is blessed to work with a unique team of doctors at SCIMEDICA Health Group, using a diverse amount of modalities available in Naturopathic medicine to help people achieve wellness.  As the years go by, she has found that she is the one touched by many of her patients and have grown with them in their journeys.  Many of them have improved in both physical and emotional health; she has also, along with them.
