At the Nickscast Fanthropological Institute this week we move away from our wheelhouse and get into a crunchy groove as we dig into an interesting fandom of Americana: Deadheads.

In what ways are Deadheads like the modern day fans we've come to know? Which prominent figures also happen to be Deadheads? What's the enduring legacy that Deadheads have contributed to fandom-at-large?

We can't answer everything, but we'll try not to noodle around too much as we give a history of deadhead fandom, rap about how it has changed over time, its impact on the world, and, in general, keep on truckin'.
