Alopecia - it's not life threatening, but it is life altering. Meet Leah Attruia - an otherwise healthy and thriving 39 year old woman who rapidly lost all her hair over the span of 3 weeks.

In our culture, women's health and beauty are synonymous; and almost always include a woman with long flowing locks to match. This conversation is a real take on Leah's experience - going from perfectly healthy mom of a toddler, to a woman hiding fistfuls of hair in a grocery bag while on vacation with friends.

Today, two years after the diagnosis, Leah is sharing her story of self discovery that came with losing her hair, being diagnosed with a life-altering disease, and how life has changed - for the better and worse - and why she wouldn't go back.
