This week Shaun's takes us on a trip down memory lane. Sharing in detail his personal story and experience of coming out as Gay man to his family. This episode explores the internal struggles Shaun and so countless others face as they attempt to come to terms with accepting and embracing their identity. Shaun shares his experience from the being a sensitive kid in the 80's and 90's when toxic masculinity was in full swing and the media had no positive representation of queer people. This a hopeful and heartfelt recollection of a truly human experience.
Shaun re-visits not only his experience but touches on the importance of visibility in media of marginalized groups. Shaun shares his positivity and hope for a life that he always dreamed of having where he could love who he loved, be his authentic self and have that celebrated with his friends and family. Shaun also shares a very personal peak into his recent wedding to his now Husband Benny.
