This week Andrew talks with entrepreneur Rudy Rocourt. Rudy is the founder & CEO of Jetli Transfer. After the 2010 earthquake in Haiti devastated Rudy’s hometown of Port-au-Prince, he returned to Haiti to head up the treasury department for a large global bank. It was then he witnessed first-hand the high transfer fees that Haitians living abroad pay when sending groceries, daily necessities, and other goods back home to their loved ones. Rudy launched Jetli Transfer because believed he could build a better system by combining his knowledge of the Haitian economy with his extensive financial services experience. In this conversation, Rudy shares his experience launching a business and balancing the ups and downs of leading a startup. You’ll hear Rudy talk about a mindset he calls ‘thinking big while acting small’—and why learning to enjoy boring stuff is so often the key to success in anything.
