This week Andrew talks with former pro basketball player and accomplished writer Dan Grunfeld. Dan is the son of former New York Knicks star & NBA executive Ernie Grunfeld, the only player in NBA history whose parents survived the Holocaust. Dan chronicled his family’s remarkable story of tragedy, survival, & triumph in his book By The Grace of the Game. As you'll hear, Dan's family experienced tremendous loss in the Holocaust. In this conversation, Andrew asks Dan all about his family’s history, what he learned from it, and the impact it has on him today. Like Andrew, whose grandparents also survived the Holocaust, so much of Dan’s life is shaped deeply by his own family’s history. This is a powerful conversation filled with lessons on navigating adversity, maintaining perspective, & seeing the good in every situation.
