Pages and Panels #53: Paul Maybury and Sovereign

On this episode of Pages and Panels, Kyle is joined by creator Paul Maybury to breakdown his art on the Image series Sovereign with writer Chris Roberson. Paul joins the cast to talk about the first trade which collects issue 1-5. Sovereign is a detailed and rich fantasy story in which a world heralds the return of magic, gods, demons and the dead. Paul discusses bring an epic approach to the series, character design that stood out among the fantasy work, breaks down flatting, and managing art in a text heavy series.
