Guest Bio:
Alan Kolok, Professor of Ecotoxicology, has an undergraduate degree from Miami University, and advanced degrees from the University of Washington the University of Colorado.  As an academic scientist, he currently holds positions at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Idaho. He has published over 95 peer-reviewed articles and two books, including Modern Poisons: A Brief Introduction to Contemporary Toxicology, and Twist, a science fiction novel that focuses on self-replicating prions that have gone terribly wrong. He is in the process of writing his third book, Generally Regarded as Safe: A Century of Synthetic Chemicals.
