Today’s guest, Richard Flint, of Flint, Incorporated, a company specializing in the training and development of individuals, companies and associations.

My conversation with Richard was deep and really interesting. I especially enjoyed listening to his thoughts on leadership and team building. You’ll want to listen carefully to his take on using the word “team” to refer to employees or staff.

I loved the question he said we should all ask ourselves with respect to success: “What is the price I’m willing to pay?” He relates this to the concept that there is a big difference between excitement and enthusiasm. Richard says we need to have purpose, agenda and commitment, using the 3 D’s: desire, determination and discipline.

We talked about doing inner work, and I was struck by what he said about what we don’t confront, and that whatever we don’t confront, we validate. That kinda blew my mind.

He shares what he believes are the best leadership qualities, and that is that leaders do the following:

Listen
Enable
Adapt
Direct
Energize
Revisit

Richard drops so many wisdom bombs; you’ll want to take notes. I really appreciated his slightly different, but very deep perspective on leadership, and as an entrepreneur, I think you will too. Everything we do as entrepreneurs requires us to wear the leader’s hat, and Richard shows us how to do it well.

So, grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Richard and his amazing journey.
