Christopher M. Driscoll, PhD is an assistant professor of religion studies at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.

A scholar of race, religion, and culture, Driscoll has written and lectured extensively across the U.S. and internationally on topics related to white European and American religious and philosophical traditions, hip hop culture, and mountain cultures.

He is

author of White Lies: Race & Uncertainty in the Twilight of American Religion (Routledge, 2015), co-author of Method as Identity: Manufacturing Distance in the Academic Study of Religion (Lexington Books, 2018), co-editor of Kendrick Lamar and the Making of Black Meaning (Routledge, 2019), co-editor of Mountaineering Religion – Culture and Religion 21.1 (January 2021), and author of the upcoming Who You Calling Devil? White Men, Black Gods, and Religious Codependency (Bloomsbury, 2021).
