Bekah Vought, of Three Lakes, Wisconsin works at Indiana University as their Digital / Social Media Assistant, where she executes social creative ideas for IU’s 24 athletic teams. This year, she worked with College GameDay, involving live content, as well as Instagram and Snapchat stories, Periscope, Facebook Live, and Instagram Live. No day is the same for Bekah, as her job changes from season to season; covering football games, live-tweeting volleyball games, creating GIFS for use on Twitter, and managing Indiana's Basketball team’s Instagram page.

Her journey to success involved hard work and determination, as she used her Advertising / Journalism degree to land an internship at Oregon State Universtiy, to later sending her resume around the country to D1 schools, and finally receiving a 'yes' from the Indiana Hoosiers. “It just takes one person to believe in you and that changed my whole perspective.” She stated. “Every path is different, there is no right or wrong way to do something.”

Bekah values meaningful conversation and building genuine connections. Although she is savvy with social platforms, she believes every connection made is something to not take for granted.

We hope you enjoy this conversation with Bekah.
