In this episode:

How feeling SHAME is normal

Dealing with your inner critic

Why Confidence is not inherent but BUILT

Taking Radical Responsibility & dropping your masks

Andrea Owen is a mentor, life coach, author & the host of the Your Kickass Life Podcast.

In 2007 she hit rock bottom while going through a nasty divorce & jumping into a new relationship that ended 9 months later after finding out he had lied about having cancer to cover up his drug addiction.

She had isolated herself from nearly all of her friends, quit her job & moved out of her apartment to move in with him. She knew she needed a MASSIVE change. Even while in the worst circumstances of her life, she had a tiny bit of hope that led her to ask the universe for help. She decided to take radical responsibility for her life and KNEW she wasn’t destined to feel like shit.

& GIRL- I am SO excited for you to listen to this episode where we dive in to her work with Brene Brown & talk about shame, numbing, building confidence and of course her new book where she breaks down different habits that we are working through and how we need to get out of our own way.

Andrea is SO big on tangible, real talk advice but delivered in language like you’ve been best friends for years. I love her style & approach and I just know you will too!

“Sometimes we wake up with anxiety & its just unexplained. Sometimes we just feel grumpy. That’s ok, you can feel stuck sometimes and know that you will eventually not be there anymore.”

“Shame is just a normal human emotion & experience, you can’t get rid of it.”

“What at the end of your life are you gonna be proud of? What at the end of your life are you going to regret?”

“Your inner critic lives in your comfort zone.. It has one job, and that job is to keep you there.”

“You gain confidence by the success that you have on the other side, and sometimes that success is actually failing, but knowing that you lived through it.”

“Confidence is one of those things you get by doing. It’s not inherent.”
