We sat down with David Derry, missionary with Cru and FamilyLife, to talk about his unique Stepping Up Ministry to men in prison. David shares the story of his ministry journey that brought him from working with couples in broken marriages to the unexpected joy of discipling men in prison through FamilyLife's Stepping Up  Ministry.

In prison, David found men who were some of the most authentic men he had ever met. There was no pretense with these men who were keenly aware of their own brokenness and the consequences associated with it. Ironically, these incarcerated men are more spiritually free than most "free" men.
