Are you and your partner forever arguing? You went from being high school sweethearts, feeling like you were the only ones in a room, to then… years later, kids later and change in job roles, all the attention shifted, leaving very little time for your relationship.

Sound familiar, Mama?

What do men and women truly want in relationships? How can you tell if an issue in your relationship is perpetual or solvable? What did you learn from your upbringing about what it means to be in a relationship?

I am so excited for this podcast episode, *Sarah and *John took part in my 2hr Online Workshop on ‘Reconnect with Your Partner’. They put it to work and the results are night and day. This episode was so good, that we have made it a 2 part series. Sit back and listen to part 1.

Summary

Desires in a relationship
Perpetual and solvable problems
What did you learn from your upbringing?

Desires in a relationship

For most women, safety and security are some of the most desired aspects of a “good man” or partner in a relationship.

On the other hand, most men desire a sense of compassion and understanding from their partners.

A lot of women are under the assumption that men are just looking for sexual seduction. However, in reality, what men are really seeking is understanding and a level of intimacy and connection. (Veronica Cisneros)

Perpetual and solvable problems

Perpetual problems are often created due to some level of past pain that has not been healed yet. In other words, they are triggers.

Solvable problems, on the other hand, do not have emotional attachments.

What did you learn from your upbringing?

We learn everything from our parents, including what to do and what not to do. People also learn potentially destructive relational and behavioral patterns from their parents, even though their parents were probably trying their best.

Because we are making active choices to do these things, the resentment, the frustration, and the feelings of overwhelming goes to our partner. It’s not something that you’re consciously aware of until you do the work. (Veronica Cisneros)

People do the best that they have with what they have got.

What unhealthy habits have I learned from my parents that I am now taking and embracing and implementing into my relationship? (Veronica Cisneros)

Realize that at any time, you can level up. You can unlearn old patterns and make space for new ones to create genuine and meaningful change in your personal life and your marriage.

Meet Veronica Cisneros

Hello, my name is Veronica Cisneros, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist for over 7 years, a Group Private Practice owner, a Mother of 3, and married for over 20 years. I help housewives transform their marriage, communicate effectively and build confidence. Like you, I also struggled with cutting through the communication barriers. I felt like there was no reason for my husband and me to feel unhappy because we had it all. We just felt disconnected and our conversations were filled with avoidance, kids’ hobbies, and schedules.

I’ve helped plenty of couples in my private practice who struggled with similar issues. With my proven strategies and step-by-step skills, I’ve helped hundreds of women reignite their marriages. I am known for helping women step outside of their comfort zones, I don’t do bandaids, I only teach life-changing healing methods.
