Dean Stokes is the Google for Education Adoption Lead for Europe, Middle East and Africa, working closely with the UK Google for Education team, including Kirri Gooch who will be speaking at our Edufuturists Summit & Awards on 12th July this year.
Having previously been the UK Director for Google Premier Partner, Apps Events, Dean has spent a whole heap of time training teachers and school leaders in all things Google for Education. In fact, it was at an AppsEvent event that Dan and I first met him - the often mentioned Old Trafford summit where we also met Dean’s good friend, Oli Trussell and Ben Rouse (coming on the podcast very soon!)
Dean is a former Drama and Creative Arts teacher who moved into the position of Learning Technologies Manager at Maltings Academy where he looked after staff training, giving them the skills and confidence to use G Suite and more, as well as the IT Strategy, primary liaison in terms of tech and design, marketing and social media for the Academy.
