In this special "A Legacy of Education" installment, we have a wide-ranging conversation with a mother-daughter educator duo about everything from the Senate Bill 5 fight to their worries about the future of the profession to their shared love for their students.

Jillian Majzan, Middletown City SchoolsJillian Majzan is a middle school language arts teacher in the Middletown City school district but previously taught in Dayton Public Schools for four years. She is also a ONE Member Ambassador. Jillian has a bachelor's degree in Education from Bowling Green State University, a Master's Degree in Exceptional Student Education from Southeastern University, and is working on another Master's program with a focus on Educational Policy and Law. In her spare time, Jillian loves to read, spend time with her fur babies (Atticus, Pip, and Estella), shop, and go on mini adventures with her husband Andrew! She is a passionate advocate for public education and unions and feels lucky to be a part of one! 
 Stephanie Hall, Dayton Public SchoolsStephanie Hall is a Speech Language Pathologist in the Dayton Public School District. She has a bachelor's degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences and a master's degree in Speech Pathology from Ohio University. She is currently in her 32nd year of teaching and is looking forward to retiring in 2025! She loves spending time with her family, especially her daughter Jillian! She loves listening to Audible while walking her dog Ava and watching television with her cat Tootles Pan.
