The Edspective Podcast takes on the most challenging questions in education today. During each episode, Drs Jared Myracle and Jared Bigham examine one “big question” that is confronting the field of education. Leaning on their experience as educators, Jared and Jared tackle each episode’s “big question” by sharing their own unique perspectives and the thoughts and opinions of other experts in the field.

The Edspective Podcast is not just for educators. People from all walks of life will find each episode interesting since education impacts us all in some way. Jared and Jared also weave in a variety of topics and their own distinctive sense of humor, making for an attention-grabbing and thought-provoking listen. Though it’s possible neither you nor Jared and Jared may have the answer to the “big question” by the end of the episode, you are sure to gain more insight in a light-hearted and thoughtful way.

Bios

Cohost - Dr. Jared Bigham is a 4th generation educator who has worked multiple roles within the birth through career continuum, spending several years as a K-12 teacher and administrator, as well as leading education policy and advocacy organizations. Jared’s main profession is husband and daddy; although his wife and four children have yet to be impressed with what he considers to be his unparalleled humor.

Cohost - Dr. Jared Myracle is an educator with experience in the classroom and in building and district level administration. Jared has also worked with national non-profit organizations, focused on consulting with school districts on literacy and high-quality curriculum. Jared is a lifelong Tennessean that spends an inordinate amount of time riding around in his Jeep listening to 80s rock, 90s country, and his favorite podcasts.

Producer and Sound Engineer - Dr. Christopher F. Silver grew up in a small secluded rural town of Dunlap, Tennessee. Dr. Silver was raised in and around farming through his association with his father and grandfather, who were both insurance agents for Farm Bureau of Tennessee. Dr. Silver attended UT Chattanooga, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2001), Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies (2001), Masters of Science in Research Psychology (2003), and Doctorate of Education in Learning and Leadership (2012). Dr. Silver also attended graduate school at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, receiving a Masters of Arts in Religion and Culture. Currently, Dr. Silver is a doctoral candidate for a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is now a full-time instructor at UTC in the Learning and Leadership Doctoral Program.
