Worship Reframed #4: The Presence
Exodus 40:34-38
The point of worship is a realization of the presence of God. The book of Exodus begins with God’s presence moving into the Tabernacle that Moses had set up. Here he appeared as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. In this way, the glory of the Lord filled the tent and the people were aware of his presence. Thankfully, God no longer lives in houses made by man, but through his Son Jesus, lives in us by his Holy Spirit. In this sermon we will look at comparisons and implications concerning the house of God in the Old Testament and our bodies as temples of the living God.
