Exodus 15:1-18
When most Christ followers think of worship, they likely think first of music since this is the primary way the people of God have expressed their feelings, emotions, and beliefs about God from the beginning of time. This passage will examine the victorious musical worship that ensued after God had brought the people through the Red Sea in miraculous fashion. With phrases like “he has triumphed gloriously” and “who is like you, O Lord…majestic in holiness…” we will focus on the importance of praising and worshiping God through song.
