Our topic on this episode of the Early Accountability Podcast is how to know when it is time to add a new goal or adjust your existing goals. When you feel yourself coasting along and struggling to stay engaged, this episode is for you. Here are a few ways to know if you might be ready to add a new goal to the mix:
.If things feel mundane – A new goal can help you get motivated and push you in the right direction if you currently feel like you’re just going through the motions.
.If you don’t have focus – Perhaps you have a big long-term goal on the horizon, but you are having trouble getting there or seeing it as attainable. Setting up milestones or smaller goals along the way can be a big help.
.If you are not seeing your desired results – It could be that you have a good goal, but you just need to try a different approach to get there.
.If you are backsliding – You achieved your big long-term goal, but now you are struggling to sustain those results. A new class, group, accountability structure, or app could be what you need.
.If you feel like you don’t want the next level – A great example of this is working at a dead-end job with no growth opportunities. Eventually, you are going to feel stagnant or frustrated by being stuck in that rut and a new goal or opportunity will open up the way.
