Today I am joined by a really great friend of mine Annelise McCarthy. Annie has been listening to the podcast since I first started it and reached out to me about 8 months ago. Since then we have become really good friends, she is so inspiring and such a perfect guest for this show.

Annelise is a women's public speaking coach slash law student and this episode is all about public speaking. Annie has been public speaking for over 14 years, she represented Australia and placed 5th in the world for a public speaking championship, and has now started her own business coaching women!

Guys you will hear me talk about it but I cannot express how valuable this skill is. Many people believe public speaking and communication is the most valuable skill you can develop and many people say it is the highest paid profession in the world.

In this episode we cover how Annie fainted at her first speaking event, her journey with the university, facing pressure, her thoughts on what we should do after high school. We then go into the mindset of public speaking, why so many people fear it but why you shouldn't, how to build confidence then we talk about practical tips and strategies you can use to improve your presentations including a simple storytelling framework. And of course much much more.
