Kristy Wegert is the owner of My Workout Buddy a private personal training studio located in Marietta, GA. Since 2013, Kristy has been a Certified Personal Trainer with The Amercian Council on Exercise. She specializes in training those in recovery from eating disorders and addictions. Her passion is helping people become stronger and feel more comfortable in their own skin. Kristy also enjoys working with the 65 and up crowd. While she is well versed in many forms of exercise, her favorite forms to teach are strength training, balance, and boxing. In the early 90s, Kristy had the pleasure of training with many personal trainers and bodybuilders in her mother's own personal training studio called Good Bodies. She learned the tried and true "old school" weightlifting style and since then has integrated some newer forms of exercise to help meet her clients where they are here and now. Checking in with the client's functionality as they progress and ditching the scales and metrics has been an integral part of honoring a more body positive and functional approach. This mindful style of training is a revolution in the fitness industry. Kristy's desire to become a personal trainer came from her own health journey and her hope is to share her knowledge and experience so that she may be of benefit to others resilience. She works hard at offering a fun, effective, and dynamic mix of exercises in her studio. Her crowning jewel is My Workout Buddy. This studio space is a zen-like, private, safe space to enjoy movement in all its many forms.
