This weekend, the Candlelight Processional will come to Main Street for the 61st year. On Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th, two performances per evening will take place. The estimated times for the ceremony are 5:20pm and 7:35pm. Artists that make some of the collectible items at the resort will be on hand this weekend with some of their art for sale and meet and greets. Dave Avanzino will be at Off the Page in DCA from 11am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday, Jim Shore will be at 10am-noon Saturday at Disneyana, then from 1:30-3:30 at Off the Page. Brian Crosby, Martin Hsu, Steph Laberis and Jerrod Maruyama will be at the Wonderground Gallery on Saturday from 11am-1pm. Once again in 2020 Disneyland will host some Disneyland After Dark after hours events. This time, there are four themed nights. 80’s night at Dinseyland will be on January 29th, Sweethearts night at Disneyland will be on February 12th and 13th, Pixar night will be at California Adventure on March 5th, and finally Villains Night will also be at DCA on April 30th. Tickets are $109 per person, per event. All nights except Pixar night will run 9pm-1am with early entry starting at 6pm. Some new holiday treats have been spotted around the resort. A new holiday popcorn bucket has arrived at the popcorn cart located in Pixar Pier. It is a round bucket with stamps showing different Disney Pixar characters on them. Each of the stamps also has a cute saying like “JOY to the world” on the stamp featuring Inside Out, and “Scary Christmas” on the Monsters, Inc. stamp. There is still plenty of time to experience the holiday offerings at the resort, but, as usual, Disneyland is ahead of the curve already planning for what is coming next. Mickey’s Mix Magic will be returning to the park after the Holidays conclude at the end of the first week in January. CNN got a preview of the new Rise of the Resistance attraction in Hollywood Studios over in Florida. The long awaited Mickey feature has been installed near the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure, complimenting the Pixar ball on the other side of the guest drop off area. In January, a new dining experience is coming to Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. The Winemaker Dinner Series will offer a multi-course meal and wine pairings from different vineyards. The first of the expereinces features a five-course meal including Lobster & Beetroot Salad, Aged Eye of Ribeye with Bone Marrow Whipped Potato, and Crispy Kurobuta Porchetta. Reservations can be made through the Disneyland website and are $130 per person, which includes tax and gratuity. Last week just before Thanksgiving, a strong storm caused Disneyland to close an hour earlier on two different days. Details have been released on Snow White’s upcoming refurbisment. Enhanced story details, all new scenes, and updated audio and visual technology will bring even more Disney magic to this classic.
