Jean and Dina dish about the slow and steady approach to sustainable behavior change, the challenges faced when going back to school as an adult, and encouraging everyone to individualize their definitions of success.


Jean Hanks, MS, RDN, CDN earned her BA in sociology with a minor in dance from Tulane University in New Orleans, before completing her Master’s in Nutrition at Hunter College in NYC. Jean started her career as a clinical dietitian and is skilled at providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for individuals with various nutrition-related health conditions. She has worked for the NYC Department of Health, where she provided culinary demonstrations at farmers’ markets throughout the city. She is currently the lead dietitian at Well by Messer, a brand-new metabolic health and wellness center, and a contributing writer for the website Woman Around Town. Jean is a runner and is passionate about cooking—and eating, in general.
