Websites that serve interstitial ads to promote a mobile application will be stripped of their mobile friendly tag from November, Google has confirmed.

From the 1st of November sites that promote their native app through large banners or overlays that cover page content will be stripped of the all-important mobile friendly tag

And with Google confirming that since April mobile friendliness is part of it’s search algorithm losing the tag could have a massively detrimental impact on search ranking and overall site traffic
