Previous Episode: Gated

In this episode, we interviewed Wade Lamberth, a meteorologist and the CEO of WeatherEye. Having a background in the Navy, Wade is heavily oriented in operational risk management to do military planning. For this reason, doing risk analyses for the weather is a transition and also a continuation of what he does.

Wade shares how WeatherEye helps people be prepared for severe weather conditions that can affect their daily activities. He also talks about targeting the right people, having the right messaging, and making genuine connections in business.

In this episode, we discussed:

Using OpenAI to make work more efficient
Making genuine connections and consistency
Targeting the right people and having the right messaging
WeatherEye and how they help people
The importance of having a good network
Finding a niche that pays well
Milestones they want to achieve for WeatherEye by the end of the year

One of the issues Wade is dealing with is awareness. It’s not much about brand awareness but awareness of having a solution to the problems that come with different weather conditions. In our marketing brainstorm, we come up with the following:

Educating people on operational risk management by making educational content.
Using Reddit as a platform to find relevant questions to reply to and building a profile that solely answers these kinds of questions.
