This close to Thanksgiving it's only right that I first take a second to thank each and every one of you for tuning into Destination: Different each week. I have been having a freaking blast recording this thing from inside of my smelly closet and I hope that comes through in the content. There are a million and one other things you could be listening to, so I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to me.

Now, to the important stuff. We have an AWESOME guest with an incredible story on today's show. Michael Penda (the man behind the iconic yopro logo) spent 5+ years working in advertising as a media planner. He was dealing with spreadsheets and allocating budgets. Maybe not the most creative of all jobs, but all the while he was teaching himself design principals and building up a portfolio of logo work while picking up real paying clients. This past summer he took a leap of faith and quit his comfortable job in media to go all in on his love of brand design and logos. We talk about all the thought that went into his decision, how he's handling the transition into freelance, and the inspiration behind his unique design style.

If you're in need of a logo or are working on a rebrand for your company, Michael helped me and I PROMISE he can help you too. You can check out his work on Instagram @peanutfreepanda or on his website penda.design.
