And HARADA Midori, a game artist-author now living in Germany.


First stop, the Adventure Planning Service booth in Halle 1 to meet Koushi and Midori.

(APS is known as Bouken meaning ‘adventure’ in Japanese).


HADARA-san (Midori) is one of the artists behind illustrating the classic Pokémon trading card game. Now based in Germany, among her current projects is Fuwafuwanokuma, an illustrated series based on a cute polar bear touring Europe.

KONDU-san (Koushi) is the designer behind “Diet and Friends”, and the “Lemlican series” of role-playing, deck-builders and many other trading card games and RPGs.

Next, Halle 3, to meet Kimo Pope from Japanime Games, of Portland, Oregon. 

Japanime Games translate and publish localised versions of Japanese Anime deck-builders, role playing and collectible card games.

Their hugely popular Tanto Cuore is a series of maid-themed deck-building card games designed by Masayuki Kudoh.

They publish many other games and have also run over twenty successful Kickstarter projects, developing both new titles and expansions for existing games.
