I hear this all the time, "If I only had the right staff." Today I'm here to tell you that this statement is a myth! You can have the perfect team and it's not as hard as you think!

It's not about finding the "right" staff, it's about setting the expectations and leading to create a culture for success!

Here's what I mean... If someone isn't showing up a way that they should, it's not because they are just that way. It's because the proper expectations haven't been laid out and showing up that certain way has been allowed through lack of communication!

Don't get stuck looking for the perfect staff! Here are 3 things I would tell you:

1- People are people and most people want to be on team and be on the same page, they just need to have clear expectations and be held accountable.

2- Set those expectations as clear as possible and communicate about them regularly.

3- Don't withhold communication. If something in the business doesn't happen, don't say "I'm the boss, here's what should've happened." Instead, bring it to that person and communicate that the thing that didn't happen is not supporting the overall direction of the business.
